When should I spay/neuter my dog?

Are you unsure whether to have your pet sterilized? I know today, there are MANY different things the Veterinarian says, and each Veterinarian says something different. They talk about recent reports which say the dog will live longer and yet the reports were with about 5 dogs and only tested for 3 years…so how can they say it will live longer for that short length for a report. Or, they mark certain breeds, like goldens should be neutered at 9 months, ect, or they should be in one heat. I am not even going to remark on such Stupidity!!

The productive system develops at the same time, NO matter the breed.

I will stand firm from the "old" vets when the dogs did live longer and I find still do today if spay/neuter at a given time.

Neuter/Spay should be done during the period of 16 to 20 weeks. Any time after 5 months, the production organs are developing and they will start to gain the hormonal/testosterone issues as well. So, it is VITAL to have it done during this timeframe.
